It is exactly the same lens as I have. The only differences are cosmetic. I haven't seen them side by side but those who did claim that they even use the same coating. It appears Pentax rebadges this Tamron lens.

That's probably because your standard focusing screen is not designed to work with such large apertures.
P.S.: When looking at your flower pictures, I think I spotted oversaturation. When taking pictures of objects with very intense colours, you could try and reduce the "saturation" setting in the menu to avoid "blowing" individual colours. The latter problem won't show on your standard histogram as it displays luminance only.
