My first additional lens was a pentax 18-250mm which might be considered a vacation zoom and its similar to your lens.
It is exactly the same lens as I have. The only differences are cosmetic. I haven't seen them side by side but those who did claim that they even use the same coating. It appears Pentax rebadges this Tamron lens.

After that I bought a Pentax SMCP-FA 50mm f/1.4 Lens.
Rfortson has recommended this lens too. Thanks for the nice pictures. It really looks like a nice lens especially for its price.

Even thou is really fast 1.4, I do have some trouble focusing with low light
That's probably because your standard focusing screen is not designed to work with such large apertures.

P.S.: When looking at your flower pictures, I think I spotted oversaturation. When taking pictures of objects with very intense colours, you could try and reduce the "saturation" setting in the menu to avoid "blowing" individual colours. The latter problem won't show on your standard histogram as it displays luminance only.

Thanks for the tip on the over saturation issue. I think it might be because of how I processed the images, these were taken on raw and then processed under lightroom, I think I might have pushed the saturation on lightroom a little to much.

That only affects manual focus. But the allegedly low contrast and softness of the 50/1.4 wide open might adversely affect AF performance. Then again, very few people accuse Pentax cameras of being great at low light focus, period.

The offer I got on the Sigma 28mm was very good but not shockingly low. I therefore decided to go for the FA 50mm f/1.4 as my second lens.

I'll post my experience, if there will be something worthwhile to report about.
