135mm f/2.5 ---> 5 elements Super Takumar vs. 6 elements Pentax K

Inspired by this other thread, I just made a quick comparison between this two vintage gems.
That thread is about both 6-elements versions, but sadly I donīt own a 6-elements S-M-C Takumar.
Anyway, it can be funny to compare this two lenses.

The lenses:

- Super Takumar 135mm f/2.5
1965-1971
5 elements/4 groups
M42 mount

- SMC Pentax "K" 135mm f/2.5
1975-1981
6 elements/6 groups
K mount

All shots taken with my K50 and on tripod.
ISO and shutter speed kept constant when switching lens.
No post-processing at all.

Is there a difference? Yes, I think the K's bokeh is slightly better with more rounded bokeh balls and I think the Takumar is slightly sharper wide open. Is it a big difference? No.

Ha! I've been wondering about this, thanks for the test. I have an SMC Tak 135 2.5 first version that I couldn't be happier with. I've heard version 2 and the K are much better but now I see there's really no difference to speak of...

Good to see a test for this. How about doing 100% crops of say the succulent flowers wide open. (Crop a 1200 x 800 chunk). If you can include an out of focus flower in front and behind so the accuracy of focusing can be compared it would be great.
I have 3 of the old 5 elements but no 6s and have lots of other 135s so it has been fun putting them up against each other and as is often the case the results have surprising outcomes like the Tak Bayonet 2.5 here:
The poor old much maligned Takumar Bayonet group. - PentaxForums.com.
Love to see other peoples comparison shots of the two variations.
