DFA* 70-200mm lens ID

I just did a firmware update on my K-5, but the EXIF data for my photos still does not recognize the lens type when I use the DFA* 70-200mm. The exposure information is included, including the lens focal length used for that particular shot, but it does not identify the lens as the DFA* 70-200mm.

Is there something else I can do to have the lens type included in the EXIF data?

On a side note, this is the first firmware update I've done to my K5. I was on version 1.01 or some such, and just updated with the latest version (1.16, I believe). Would this have also made all the updates in between, or the newest firmware update one only?

Thank you!

Lens identification depends on the software on your computer rather than the camera.

As for firmware, updates are always cumulative.

Thanks, Adam. I use a MacBook, and it does recognize my Limited lenses, just not the 70-200 DFA*.

Thanks again.

If your software (eg Photoshop) version pre-dates the lens, it wont recognise it.
