I love my wife, as she hasn't complained about me purchasing some new lenses, but she doesn't give a rats behind when I get a new lens, so I just wanted to tell some people how excited I am to get the Pentax-D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro WR. Last week Amazon Canada had one in their warehouse department for $398.20. The kicker was their warehouse had an additional 20% off so I got it for an incredible 318.56. With tax it was 359.97. The cheapest I've seen this is 549 at any point.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the lens. The box it came in was dented a little as described.

I'm so excited to try this bad boy out.

Happy New Year everyone!
Wow!! Thats awesome!! Enjoy and share some pics. This is a lens that I hope to get one day as well! 😊

Congrats on the new purchase. You can't go wrong with that lens, and it's even excellent as a telephoto portrait lens.

That lens is awesome. I was out with mine yesterday using it as a walk around lens.

Tia thinks it's really good for dog portraits.

Macro photography was why I wanted an ILC. I bought the non-WR version at the same time as my first SLR. I started filling out my bag when I went digital. Every lens has its place, but the 100/2.8 is my favorite, and the one I always come back to.

I'm not out shooting either.
TIL I would die if I went to Australia.
