Zeiss M42

I'm thinking of buying Distagon T* 2/35 for my K20d in M42 mount.
Will it work perfectly in manual mode, will it light meter?
Will I need katz eye focusing screen?
Does anybody have any experience with this lens?

M42 lenses are best shot in Av, in that sense they're easier to use than M series lenses. Yes, it will meter correctly. Whether you need a split-prism focusing screen or not will depend on your eyesight and ability to manual focus on your current screen. Remember that you still get exposure confirmation from the camera (although it's not always 100% accurate at wide apertures).
