50-135*mm lens

To those of you who have this 50-135 *mm lens, how does it compare to your others? I have the kit, 50mm 2.8 and 80-320mm. I want a great lens with great glass for super sharp and clear pics. How does this compare with the others? Is there a noticeable difference? Thanks.

It's the best zoom available for Pentax. See This Thread.

It's simply the best lens I've ever used (and I've been a long time with ZuikoDigital (14-54 f/2,8-3,5 is still best all around lens for my taste) and Canon L)!
Although I had some focusing problems from start, it turned out my focusing screen was really dirty, after cleaning it's just perfect...
Opticaly and mechanicaly it's just great, end results surprise me every time I look at photos after day of shooting.
Compact, light, weathersealed... There's only one thing I can say that's not so great - focusing speed. It's ok for 95% of use, but not for really fast sports, and I mean really fast...

Closest description of this lens would be - pure sex!

The 50-135 is simply the best lens I have ever owned. I've found the speed to be exceptional for my shooting, although I no longer do sports now that my kids are older, but it's wonderful for portraits. Matched with a Tamron 1.4 TC it's awesome.

The Best Zoom available, followed closely by the DA 16-50 (if you get a good copy)

These 2 lenses never cease to amaze me with the results I get.

Absolutely. I shot hockey with it a week ago Sunday last, and it worked a lot better than I had any right to expect. Sharp, snappy focusing, even exposure in variable lighting - love it.

Just received mine and it's money well spent. Very impressive lens that produces stunning colours, detail and bokeh.
Think I'm going to get it's brother...DA*16-50
