You know when I casually checked earlier I thought, you know, $3400.00 isn't too bad a deal. Then I checked again and I realize I forgot a zero, 34,000! I think Sigma would be lucky to sell this thing 10 times total in any year in any mount, especially since it has some excellent glass to compete with a relatively cheaper price point.

Some would say that such a lens is overkill...

Others would say that there is no such thing as overkill, only start shooting, and I need another SD card....

soooo...200-500mm f2.8 (it'll go nice w/ a 70-200mm f2.8) is possible but dang you really have to pay for it....both in your wallet (plastics + life savings + whatever else you can come up w/) and back aches from hauling that bazooka around...

Think how stable your camera/lens combination would be with such a system. You could literally punch the shutter and the sheer mass would keep it from shaking.
