Thank God is not available in Pentax mount

Found this..Sigma - Lenses

Thank God is not available with Pentax mount, otherwise, it would be an LBA overdose... with such a price tag.

That is my biggest concern here. Of course I could not afford it, but since my wife is turning into a true pentaxian and this "railroad mallet" would be available in Pentax mount and she know about it, then it would be countless sleepless nights for both of us.

Cool, it even comes with a teleconverter!
You've got to love huge, crazy camera lenses - even if you can't afford them. Something to aspire to, I suppose.

actually it is a shame it is not available. It certainly states the obvious view of someone in marketing that pentax is not a serious camera

It says that it is great for astrophotography and for portraits. He he...of what - nose hair follicles?!?

AF requires it's own battery too.

I'm thinking they'd probably sell about 10/year in Canon mount and about 6-7 in Nikon mount.

Considering Pentax' market share, they'd be lucky if someone bought a copy within a year. The investment is not worthwhile.

Sigma is a business, not a charity, and they can't afford to make investments that will never pay dividends. This is the reason why not all lenses are available in Pentax mount.

That is right. I've heard the motor for AF and zooming is a direct transplant from a Toyota Prius... gearbox included! just kidding

But they go just in front of the lens mount.
