i have no idea, but i've been on the lookout for a smc 300mm (k or screw). as beautiful as that looks, i'd still have to answer to the mrs. and my student loans

You use it to photograph UV stuff. It's a rather rare lens. Probably created for forensic and scientific usage.

I was at a local shop about a month ago that had 2 Takumar 300 mm, and one 200 mm ( that one came home with me, $40, and in VERY good shape ) The 300's were in the $250 range if I remember correctly, and they both looked to be in good shape, and one of em looked damn near new...
