I don't have the owners manual with me at the moment so was hoping someone here can assist. I'm trying to remove the tripod mounting foot from the collar on my D-FA 70-200. The screw that secures the foot to the collar loosens but does not come out completely (it appears to be a captive screw). When loosened as far as it will go, the tripod foot can wiggle a little bit but not detach entirely. I was wondering how, if possible, could the foot be removed completely from the lens. Thanks.

Push or pull the knob.

Thank you! Once the screw is loosened as far as it goes, the knob gets pushed towards the foot to release. Pretty cool!

It is a very elegant mechanism. The one on the DFA 150-450 is identical.
