The lens looks immaculate! A true Pentax Unicorn!
Agreed.

@Japanese guy; - if you ever decide to sell the lens, please list it in our Marketplace. As you can see, there'd most likely be some interest!

Sorry for the bad photo.
I am a Nikon Z7 user and do not have a Pentax camera. This lens is hardly used.
The aperture I can use is only 1.4 due to poor mount adapter.Lens has no problem(Apature works).
If you want to see more samples,I will take tomorrow.

Pretty hard to put a value on this lens, can't really compare it to anything.

Maybe just rent it out to forum members for a couple weeks at a time, that way we all can enjoy it???

Phil.

Wow, I never imagined that a lens like this would surface after so long. It looks nice and the test shots show good rendering and decent sharpness if they are indeed wide open.

It doesn't state that it's an M so it's a K.

Why this lens was not produced? It looks so good and based on test shots IQ is also there. Would be nice to use it on K1

Astigmatism and coma are not good enough.

I hope to find a unicorn some day! But it would have to be completely by chance since I am a newby in photography and would not know one if I saw it!

Yep the most likely reasons the K20/1.4 never went into production, was that one it was too expensive to make and two that it had optical issues that Pentax was not happy with.

Same reason there were only a couple K8.4/2.8 Fish-Eye & M35/1.4 lenses made.

Can we re-name the thread as the lens is clearly not an M-series one?
