I gave up and bought the straight A15/3.5 at a lucky price.

A*135/1.8 with hood, A*85/1.4 with hood, FA*200/4 Macro with hood - all virtually impossible..

Not that much, really. 10x K28/2 in like condition. Same as FA*200/4 Macro, about 25% more than A*1200/8. Those lenses are actually available with some regularity.

Yeah it's hard to put a price on the K20/1.4 because the condition of the lens is unknown and it's the only one we have seen for sale. Also who knows what the optics are like, it could be a poor performer and thats one of the reason Pentax pulled the plug on it.

Never the less I'd love to try it out over a weekend shooting with the new Ektachrome slide film. It would look great on my K2DMD!

No no no, not expensive, but cheap.
The collection value of this lens is far greater than the practical value.
This is an prototypelens that has never been released.
It stands to reason that you can't buy even if you have money.
I guess it was taken away when Pentax moved.
Even today, 20mm aperture 1.4 is very rare, let alone 40 years ago.
This lens is more precious than the mass-produced M35 / 1.4
Anyway, M35 / 1.4 sold 6.
We all think this price is cheap.
Actual value should be over 1.5 million Japan yen.

I never heard back from the seller, but I was willing to spend quite a bit on this lens.
Rather glad the temptation is now gone
