you guys are gonna jack up the prices of theses lenses like those Vivtar 105s with photos like that
Well, IMO the Vivi 105 looks significantly better.

But that didn't stop me from five minutes ago buying a Cosina 55mm f/1.2, because I'd like to see for myself what a lens that bright looks like.

Unless my math is off. It equates to an 85mm (1.7 x 50 = 85mm) and f2.
Actually, as far as I'm concerned I just got the film equivalent of an 85mm f/1.2 for 175. You can't say better than that!

Your math is fine, it's your facts that are off. The lens is 55mm, not 50.

i wouldn't disagree, but the lens seems plenty sharp and the price is right!

I hooked up my nice new shiny Cosina 55 to my K10D and it is an amazing difference,,,That little green button on top works magic...No kidding. Even the focus lock works great...This is reason alone to upgrade from a K100D...All those old cool lenses will work wonderfully.... Here are a few more...

And some more boring work stuff. These turbocharges are tough to shoot because there is no contrast and they are nice and sort of shinny...The detail is stunning...

Ah Walter, I see the temptation has returned. Come on, you know that resistance is futile

That first shot is really nice. But please don't encourage me into BBA. LBA is bad enough.

Nice pix, Jay! There were two more C 1.2s sold on eBay today @ $235 and another is up now.
You're doing as much for this thread as for the TC one! It may go on forever............

With the Live.com 30% cashback going on, one of these would only cost $165 shipped, which is wicked cheap, as they say here in Boston.

I thought I should post the reason why I got this lens in the first place. Here are some examples of no-light shooting, all but one hand-held, with the K10D. This is the first time that I've seen hand-held shots turn out brighter than what I could see with my own eyes. The light was not as bright as the photos make it out to be. Needless to say, I was shooting wide open all the time.

f/1.2 1/25s ISO1600

f/1.2 1/30s ISO1600

f/1.2 1/30s ISO1600

f/1.2 2s ISO100

f/1.2 1/20s ISO1600

I'm impressed with 2 aspects of these last shots. First tht they are so sharp and also that the images look so clean at 1500. I got mine yesterday and this lens is a winner.
