Cosmicar actually had a constant f4 version? I thought they only had the mediocre 3.5-4.5 version.

Yes, and it looks nearly identical to its Pentax counterpart save for the name ring. It doesn't have SMC coatings - the markings say "MC" instead. I'm quite happy with my copy, purchased here on the PF Marketplace.
