yeah, Da* 16-50 is most versatile and handy. Weather proof as well.

DA*50-135 for an ego boost (j/k)
or DA40 when i need to bring the ego back to earth (j/k)

I think it would be a more interesting question to people who have more than 2 lenses

My favorite lens would have to be the Takumar 55mm 1.8. It's versatile, great in low light, easy to manual focus and is dirt cheap. I when I need some length, I go for the Takumar 105mm 2.8 and wide, the Takumar 28mm 3.5. All lovely and cheap lenses.

For me it has to be the DA*50-135, but that may change once I get the DA 35 Ltd

For my choice, I keep the Sigma 17-70 on the camera.

Sigma 30/1.4 has lately been mounted on my K10d the most. It's not very versatile, but great in general type of photos and in the dark days of the fall. If I need something more versatile I change to Sigma 17-70.

Lens always mounted on my camera : Sigma 17-70. Reliable, great optics, my only AF lens, convenient range.

Lens that gives me the most satisfaction : Vivitar series 1 70-210 va. The contrast is just amazing, same goes for saturation, it has the reach I sometimes need, it's a joy to operate.

Lens that I mount in critical situations, and sometimes just for the sheer pleasure of using it : Pentax A-50 f1,4. Pentax colours, smooth MF, compact size, huge aperture. I feel slick when it's on.

That's half my lens lineup. The others are a Pentax M-50 f2 (to be sold eventually), a Takumar bayonet 28 mm f2,8 that I don't use but should just for the sake of it, and a Tak Bayonet 135 mm f2,8 that's a surprise every time I mount it, but that doesn't see much action because of the Vivitar.

Superb IQ, nice range, handy maco facility ... just a nice lens imo.
