Just wondering: My new (reputable dealer) 20-40mm Limited arrived this week. The hood was firmly stuck on the lens. I tried a rubber kitchen grip; the hood wouldn't t loosen. Filter wrenches just put a small mark (like being burnished) on the lens barrel when one of them finally slipped around the barrel; the hood didn't budge, however. Finally, I warmed up a medical gel pack in the microwave (like one puts on a sore muscle), and wrapped it around the hood for a minute, hoping to expand the hood diameter but not the lens itself. After that, I could loosen the hood, though still with more force than I'd like to use. Anyway, in retrospect I'm wondering if this has been a common situation or mine was an outlier. (Otherwise, it's a very nice lens so far.)
