As others said as long as you are sensible you should be fine taking the camera, even swapping lenses is fine just need to be careful and not get sand/sea spray in. The beach is a great place for photos so I would definitely bring it.

The beach is the primary reason I kept my K10 when I got my K-01 (which isn’t sealed).

I do wrap it in a plastic bag, but that’s more to protect it from spilled sun cream and drinks than sand.

It works a treat. I just wipe it down with a baby wipe or a damp cloth when I’m done.

I also use filters on the beach so I can wipe off messes with a shirttail and not cringe.

I’ve also taken the K1 and some non-sealed lenses. That requires more care but still works great. As long as I don’t drop it, I’m usually more worried about getting sand in tripod legs...

Take the 16-85 with you, and maybe one or two primes, one of them being the DA 35 2.4 because it's inexpensive and can be used on a lot of different situations. Last time at the beach I usually use the 16-45 (not even weather sealed) on most days on the K-50, but also the DA 35 2.4 when I thought we'd stay up until later in the evening, or the F 50 1.7 which is great for lower light and can be easily used wide open. I would only change lenses indoors, so once a lens is on the camera, it stays on for a while. Before the K-50 I used to take the K20D I used to have, and that one went to the beach many times and never had any issues. The K-S1 has seen some beach action as well but I prefer to take the K-50 because that one does have weather seals...

Not take your camera with you to any occasion?

again, as others have said, unless you are diving in the water, or rolling in the sand, your camera will be missed if you dont take it

Look at this video and you know that you never have to care about water or sand, when using your WR Pentax:

Take a camera with you. You won't know what you'll find. At times going to the beach will give you something worth shooting. The best lens per your list is the 16-85
I normally don't change lenses on the beach particularly on very windy day. Enjoy your day.
