Lens hood for 28-105 PH-RBA62 vs PH-RBC62

Is there much difference between the PH-RBA62 (for the old (FA?) 28-105) and the PH-RBC62 (for the DFA 28-105, and apparently also for the DA 18-135?).
As luck would have it I lost my hood for my DFA 28-105 in my recent travels, and amazed by how expensive the replacement would be.
The RBAs sell for less (~$25 vs ~$50) I guess due to being from older/retired lenses? Could I just get and use an RBA instead?

I tried to swap the hood from my Sigma 28-300 (also a 62mm filter) but of course the twist mount tab thickness and stop positions are totally different from pentax, so that didn't at all work.
I'm just hoping that within the pentax product lines the hood mounts stayed consistent

Otherwise I guess I'll bite the bullet and get the official recommended hood, but give it a leash like the kind for lens caps (maybe daisy chain hood and cap together).
Interestingly I haven't lost any lens caps yet, since they're thin and flat and easily fit in pockets. Whereas bayonet mount hoods seem to easily dislodge often, and are too bulky to stuff in shirt pockets.

The PH-RBA62 is made by Tamron, I believe, so it's not likely that it will fit.

I would just go for the RBC. And yes, the latter also fits the 18-135mm. I have both lenses, and the similarity between the two when reverse-mounted has made me walk out with the 18-135mm on the K-1 before...

Something like this might be acceptable. The original equipment will be preferred but this may be good enough:

Ok thanks. I guess Iíll go with either a generic or bite the bullet for a proper RBC then. I wonder if you get vignetting on the wide end stacking a filter with that adapter. I guess I should try stacking 2-3 filters to simulate the combined thickness. On the plus side the generic could be switched to use on any hood less 62mm I guess
