To use the car analogy...Mazda is offering very good deals on the Miata RF coupe. I admire the car and while my Mazda truck can perform the same transportation tasks (both being two-seaters), it is not nearly as nimble nor as thrifty, fuel-wise, but the price is very good. So I post the question to the Mazda forum...

Steve
If you were in the market your truck might not get the same DQ* as the RF.

The KP is a thing of beauty. The DA 20-40 Ltd is a thing of beauty. They were made for each other, and they marry to produce pretty good photos. If it is affordable, get the 20-40, put it on the KP, and just enjoy owning the most handsome WR photo capture machine yet of the Pentax Digital Era.

Just an opinion, of course. To each his own.

Sorry Allen, but note that post #35 did include the escape clause (for me also!), "If it is affordable".

no offense meant to you or others

you did have the " escape clause "

and some times what I mean to be humorous does not come through that way.

BTW, there does appear to be a recent price break

a whole $ 2

I need a lot more of a drop in price before I talk to the spouse

Your humour was clear to me, Allen, hence my reply included a wink!

I was quite lucky. The KP was a Pentax refurbished unit at the price of a K-70 and with a 2-year warranty. The 20-40 was a another special offer bargain. I hope something similar comes your way. All the best.
