You will love the 50-135 as its IQ is superior to other zooms and like others have said its like having a few primes in that range.

Dont get me wrong, I loved the DA* 16-50, but because $$ is limited and I could only justify buying one at this time, I've picked the 50/135 to start the DA* collection!

he he he

The plan is to keep FA35 + DA* 50/135 and maybe the DA 55/300 (not sure though)... and if I need a standard zoom, it will be either the 16/45 or the 16/50.

Hey, you are somehow responsible for the damage! Actually, you recommended me the 77 LTD, so in the future when I get this lens you'll be even more guilty of damaging me financially!

PS. Dude, you got the COMPLETE gear list! Geez man, life must be really sad when you have all nice gear and have no cravings for new lenses.

Congratulations on your lens! Don't forget to update your signature, though ;-)

This 50-135 is next on my list.

Dang, I can't even make a snarky comment like "Nope, looks bad. You should send it here for testing..." since I just got my copy a week ago.

Nice shots.

The Beast arrived today! DA* 50-135 <PICS INSIDE>
I thought i would receive it tomorrow, so no camera body with me right now. Just got it in the mail, very very very SEXY piece of equipment... and i love the IF feature as well...
Pictures and impressions to come later!
I'm pretty sure now I'll be following suit instead of buying a short tele prime. Thanx for the pretty picies. I really like that iron beam & a few others. But "The Beast"? Have you ever handled a 300/2.8 + 2x TC or 500/4.5 or other similar super telephoto fast lens?

I also bought a 50-135 earlier today at a camera store. I haven't had the chance to take outdoor pics yet. The lens looks mighty fine!

Well it's only about 150g heavier than my 28-75mm, so I'll be happy with that.
