According to rare sources on the internet Komura seems to have been a small, independent Japanese manufacturer of lenses that went out of business in the early 80ies. Apart from various lenses in T2 and other interchangeable mounts they made at least 10 different lenses for K-mount:
- Komuranon f=28mm 1:2.5
- K.M.C Komuranon f=28mm 1:2.8
- Komuranon f=135mm 1:2.5
- K.M.C Komuranon f=135mm 1:2.8
- K.M.C. Komuranon f=300mm 1:4.5
- K.M.C Komuranon Zoom 24.35 1:3.5 f=24-35mm
- K.M.C Komuranon Zoom 35.70 1:3.5-4.5 f=35-70mm
- K.M.C Komura-FX 721 1:4.5 f=70-210mm
- MC Komuranon 820 Zoom Lens 1:4.5 f=80-200mm
- K.M.C. Komuranon 821 Zoom Lens 1:4.5 f=80-210mm
- K.M.C. Komuranon 821-S Zoom Lens 1:4.5 f=80-210mm
The lenses have an extremely solid looking shape, however given that all of them have been designed and made in the 70ies, I would not expect any particular optical quality. Comparing to the Pentax I think they certainly have the disadvantage that they could not offer the cutting-edge technology "SMC" that Pentax had at that time.
