Pentax K1 mark ii and crop sensor lenses

Did you set the aperture ring to 'A' as well? That way you can set the aperture on the body, through the e-dials.

The Tamron 28-75mm lens has no WR construction, but it is otherwise a well-rated lens. A good short zoom lens replacement yet a bit better than the made-for-APS-C Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 largely because of the f/2.8 constant aperture capability throughout its zoom range. That Tamron lens will have about the same FOV and picture size in the frame of your K-1 as the Sigma lens has on an APS-C body. So the zoom range between the two when used on the respective APS-C or FF K-1 will be approximately the same.
