Lens hood for DA* 55mm Lens on K-1

Can anyone recommend a lens hood to use with the DA* 55mm lens on the K-1 in full frame mode? Specifically to minimize vignetting.
Thanks

Online ebay hard metal ones for a few dollars from China, just put in filter size and metal hood, they screw in and work very well in a "standard" length

I like the short vented hood on my DA*55. You can continue to use the original lens cover.

I use the OEM hood. Physical vignetting only occurs in the extreme corners, and can still happen with the hood off.

If you don't have an original, look for one that fits the DA 55-300 PLM and it does a pretty good job. My DA*55 hood is cracked so I just pull the one from the PLM and find it works great. There are Chinese copies on the bay for under 10 bucks.

Thanks, I was thinking that the original hood caused some of the vignetting, so something wider and shorter would help. Has anyone tested it with and without the hood?

PH-RBJ 58mm lens hood on DA* 55mm Lens

Does any one know if a Pentax PH-RBJ 58mm lens hood will fit on a Pentax DA* 55mm lens. The PH-RBJ 58mm lens hood is made for the HD DA18-50mm WR RE Lens. I notice that when I use the original lens hood for the DA* 55mm lens on the K-1 in full frame it does increase the vignetting some. I would think that the PH-RBJ 58mm lens hood since it is made for use on a zoom that goes to 28mm equivalent in full frame would be less likely to cause vignetting.

This generic hood for the DA 55-300 lenses fits the bayonet mounts on the DA* 55/1.4, reverses, even has the polarizer window. I don't know about vignetting but it was cheap so I'd just saw off parts until vignetting wasn't a problem any more. Unfortunately Amazon says it's not available now. A more comprehensive search might turn one up. I'd be happy to trade my JJC for an original DA* hood.

This thread is older but I can confirm that on a Sony A7RII the vignetting is slightly worse with the hood on.
