The Joys of body only

Don't have to worry about having multiple copies of the same kit lens.

What we can do is to couple the kit lens with another older pentax camera body for sale - it will look better when you tried to sell an older d SLR camera body on ebay auction ...

I never bought the pentax bodies with kit lens either Better to pick the lenses I like

Back to the question...

Da 16-45 is a great lens and it would overcome a lot of less-than-ideal photographic opportunities with image quality better than kit lens.

You cannot get much from selling the kit lens anyway.

If you have replaced the kit lens with something else, don't just leave it lying around! The 18-55mm is almost perfect for macro save the no aperture thing but its not too much of an obstacle.

The Telesor cost me $4.99 from Henry's ebay store. If you got a bunch of primes in the 18-55 range, get the ring with the most popular filter thread. (the kit lens is 52mm. Most k mount primes are usually 49mm or 52mm.) I seem to notice that the wider the focal length you reverse, the more magnification.

..and thats about it to doing extreme macro with your kit lens! Just watch that you don't touch the back element when you push the aperture pin open to check focus.

..and heres a sample of what you can do.
