I need a Pentax SMC FA 50mm 1.4 exploded assembly diagram/image

Hi everyone.

I need help finding a Pentax SMC FA 50mm 1.4 exploded image.

I'm putting together a lens from broken parts but need to check where one large metal ring goes.

I've already checked online and put most of the info I have on one page to help fix it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pentax SMC FA 50mm 1.4 Disassembly and Infinity Focus Adjustment | ?????????? A4JP

Regards,

Glen

If it fits neatly behind the front lens group I would guess it is a shim that goes there.

Glen,

Have you tried contacting Eric Hendrickson? He's a Pentax repair expert and may be able to help.

You're welcome. I understand the frustration of a disassembled lens! Good luck.

By the way, I've read that it may take Mr. Hendrickson some time to respond to inquiries.

The lens has been sitting on a shelf for a while now so I'm not in a rush but it's just a pity I can't use it now. I liked it a lot.

Eric Hendrickson was very nice and gave a quick reply but we still don't have a guide for the 50mm f/1.4 Pentax-FA AF SMC. Anyone else out there got any ideas or videos on pulling apart a lens? I just need to know where the metal o ring goes.
