Add a foot or ring to an older SMC Pentax-A 300 mm (older model)

My solution for my K300/4 having no tripod mount, was to purchase the F*300/4.5ED!

I'll probably never use the K300/4 again, as the F*300/4.5 is way better optically and does have a proper tripod mount.

I have a K300/4 with the same problem. I have a Manfroto 293 telephoto lens support. Yeah, it's a little ugly but it gets the job done and being adjustable, it can be used with all sorts of lenses which have a broken, missing or no tripod foot. You can buy them at B&H for $70. Or, open up your tool box and adapt or make something.

The Manfrotto thing is actually a more study and less vibration prone support than a simple lens foot, so it does work well if you don't mind the bulk. I've found it useful for several different types of setups (like with extension tubes, etc).
