Oh Jay, I am so sorry to hear of your gear... I also have a unbraked stroller story that involved a lake. When my oldest was 3, we were walking around the pond, baby in the stroller... The 3 year old gets too close to the water so I let go of the stroller to grab her, and I start to give her the talk about getting too close to the water! She says, Papa get the stroller, I turn just in time to stop the stroller from rolling into the pond. What appeared to be flat sidewalk actually had a slight grade. I did not nominate myself for "Dad of the Week" that week.

I feel for you as that tamron looked like perfection in a long zoomer.
The parting shots prove it to me.

You are right though, in the end they are just material things and the real important things are safe and sound!
