Again, very different CA values from the Tamron.
Normally I would steer clear of lens with those values. I like my CA values to be around .7 or under.
I'll wait to see how bdery does with his copy before final judgement.
High CA values can be a sign of a mis-aligned lens.

CA can be a real problem in some images.

Look at the tree to the left of the bird. People say you can fix it, but sometimes the fix is worse than the CA.
For my style, needing centre sharp images, most of the time edge softness is not noticeable. CA is. If the trade off is better edge sharpness for worse edge CA, then I'll be sticking with my DA*60-250. But I'm guessing/hoping this is not a good sample.

Looking at he ephotzine numbers for the DA* 60-250, in the long end the 60-250 is much worse from 60-135 it's much better. The 60-250 of course was tested on a smaller sensor.

Looks good. Biggest issue is edge sharpness at the long end. Center sharpness is still OK there, particularly stopped down.

In LR and other packages you can apply CA correction locally by painting it on only where you need it.

It would be nice to have list of those. I'm shopping at the moment and it's desired feature.

absolutely dissapointing imatest results compared to same optical desigh Tamron 70-210/4. I compared ephotozine reviews of these two lenses and results are much worse for Pentax

That's why I suspect they had a misaligned lens,

Cameraville seems to have got a bad copy too - serious QC issues?

Although, interestingly, the Pentax seems more even across the frame (in sharpness, if not CA), which is something they seem to have been aiming for recently

btw, good to see a review, but begs the question why they never reviewed the 11-18...

Are we still assuming it's the same lens manufactured in the same facilities except for coatings and finishing?

If you only look at these two tests, it's hard to argue that's the case.
