Do not trust the name. There is no real macro zoom.
Macro means: able to shoot at 1:1.

Nikon used to produce a "near macro" zoom (70-180mm 1:1.3), decades ago.
Olympus may have produced a macro zoom decades ago, I am not sure.

However, you can find some "proxi" zooms, they reach 1:2 (e.g. 70-300mm from Tamron or Sigma).
Then you can add some stuff (teleconverter, diopter...) to eventually reach 1:1.

In fact, most macro lenses are false zooms (their focal length varies according to the macro ratio) but this information can be confusing for most people.

The Advantages of a Dedicated Macro Lens
The 18-55mm kit lens is versatile, but it can't fill every role perfectly. If you're a beginner interested in close-up (macro) photography, we recommend that you consider adding a dedicated 1:1 macro lens to your lens collection. Watch the video below to learn about the benefits of a true macro lens:

Compared to a zoom, a fixed focal length (prime) macro lens is generally going to be the go-to choice for close-up photography. While many modern zooms claim "macro" capabilities and are good for snapshots, none can deliver life-size (1:1) magnification.
