If four lenses is the limit then:

DA 11-16/2.8 (hopefully upcoming)
DA 21/3.2
FA 31/1.8
DA 50-135/2.8

What I'm actually working towards:

DA 15/4.0
DA 21/3.2
FA 31/1.8
FA 50/1.4
FA 77/1.8
A 100/4.0 macro
"K" 135/2.5

primes or zooms

With 4 lenses, I'll take:
- DA 21
- FA 31
- FA 77
- Voightländer 125
and I'd take a 1,7 TC (guess this doesn't count as a lens).

As for a zoom alternative, I'd choose:
- DA 16-50
- FA 28-70
- FA 80-200

Over the comming years, I'll have a look at:
- DA 15
- DA 11-16
- DA 300
But I'm not in a hurry (neither is my budget).

Now, if only I'd get my K10 back - in working order that is, I'd be out taking photos right now.

Interesting.

If you go for a small travel kit the K135F2.5 is a great way to extend your range without a lot of weight.

WHen I cut down my "travel kit" of 4 zooms I take the Sigma 10-20, tamron 28-85 F2.8 and the SMC 135 F2.5 and live with the gaps. This way I travel with camera in hand (obviously 1 lens attached) and a small shoulder bag for a VCR with just the 2 other lenses, batteries and memory chips.

Just a comment, but it's kind of interesting (refreshing?) that there has not been any mention about choices being based on future FF ready, vs the DA's...

Perhaps not, but all my lenses except the sigma 10-20 are full frame. (that is 14 full frame, 1 ASP-C lens) BUT I also own a PZ-1, and everything works on it, the film body is the ultimate back up,.
