Maybe not this time, because there's not much that looks like Starlings, but if he can get a couple of Swainson's thrushes doing that and calls them Hermit Thrushes, there will be fireworks.

I thank you guys for standing up for me. I was overly enthusiastic in hoping the lenses were the same.

But what I can assure you without a mistake, both lenses will serve me well.

It is just interesting to see that there were not many clear no’s or yes‘s. We saw several „I don’t want to rule it out“ and maybe the Olympus weights exactly the same as the Pentax if you put it on the moon... now it's all solved, no conspiracy going on.

My own experience with this lens suggests that after about 10m it settles down and is at least close to the 250mm focal length. Below 3m it is more like a 135mm. It is a great lens even so.
