Takumar 100mm F2 on eBay

Rare indeed! No reviews in the Forum database. Does anyone know how it renders images?

At $5000 (US) It makes the new DFA*85 look like an absolute bargain.

Ye gods! I just looked at the extra photos in that listing. The design of the aperture blades is pretty remarkable.

It would be a very cool lens....

in the last round of my edits on the sample archive index, i found a thread with the only images on the forum with this lens

Well found! The images are intriguing - but then again pinholecam makes every lens he has look good

Embarrassingly, I contributed to that thread, but have no recollection. It was several years ago though....

Still a lot cheaper than the prototype Pentax K20/1.4AL, that was for sale in Japan a few months back.
