I don't think there is much doubt on the sharpness of this lens (!)

Going to ask for a lens club. Who's in?

John
I'd say it delivers!

Sure, I am certain you feel just terrible! Good luck!
Yes well just to give you something to laugh about, I spent the past three days helping my neighbours build a deck. We just got the rails on, and still need to do the bannister for the stairs.
I picked up my lens on the way to the lumber store, and so far have had about 5 minutes of play time with it, I’m simply too exhausted right now to do anything with it, and I go back to work tomorrow. It will probably be next Tuesday before I get to do anything with it.
Sandy will probably have his before I get to do anything with my copy.

You must really like your neighbor! I've spent the last four weekends building a wood-fired oven in my back yard, lots of long, hard days of physical labor. Today will be another half-day, tomorrow probably another. Aside from some help we got lifting some concrete slabs it's just been me and the wife. I'd feel badly asking others to help with my difficult projects.

But I do have some good photos and a few time lapse movies of the construction with the K-3ii and the new-to-me 20-40mm limited.

So folks... reading between the lines on all the posts on this thread.

Pentax have produced yet another fine piece of glass, which no doubt will be deemed a "classic" in due course .

This is all excellant news for the brand and I'm personally looking forward to seeing much more fine imagery.

you're saying there's a lot of chatter and not many photos in evidence of said-new lens.... right?

No one wants to see a portrait of someone who looks like me Dave! They need to get the right model before putting their images up here.
