Really?

I suppose it's unlikely that I'd own this much Pentax gear if I didn't have a fairly strong brand preference....

Perhaps because I am also a fairly acerbic individual who doesn't suffer the fools who are fanboys.....
Hmm, so you are a FAnboy?

Are you just insufficiently articulate to argue a case without resorting to labels?

This thread was exactly what I needed to read today, after spending much of the morning debating a move to the Nikon D700. I've shot Pentax for years, but sometimes it's nice to be reminded of all the positives that keep this system thriving. Thanks.

damn it, I know better than to post sober...crappy metaphor regarding price, but if performance is defined by results rather than autofocus speed, maybe the metaphor holds up? By the way, haven't ever tried autofocus so can't complain about it.

The 600mm and FA* 200mm macro are grounds enough to stay with Pentax at least in part. Are you going to stick with your 6x7? It seems like I remember you saying you may sell off some of your 67 gear.

I just realised that Wheatfield has TWO LXs... If McCain is correct about Obama, then one of those LXs should be redistributed to me pretty soon.

I believe the A* 85mm f/1.4 should come attached to it too.
