FA* 85mm F1.4 - sample shots

I noticed there aren't a lot of shots with the FA* 85mm so I thought I'd start a short thread for posts from those who have access to one.

Some comparison shots (different days so color balance is slightly out of whack)

FA* 85mm @ F1.4

A 50mm @ F1.7

Hmm, I'd like to see more. The 50mm shot was at ISO100 whereas the noise in the 85mm shot (ISO400) muddles things enough that it isn't a fair comparison. Could be jpeg artefacting too. I think the longer exposure (different lighting and days like you said) with the 50mm shows with the light on the black penguin. Give us some more!

Yes, I know I wasn't being very methodical about the test. Been playing too much with my A 50mm over the past few weeks...

Must be because I don't own the FA* 85mm f/1.4 (sigh).
Your pictures prove this lens is a must have for all red blooded males... a babe magnet of a lens.

my favourite is the model in white shot... superb
