Seriously or you yanking my chain? Which application, dental? I don't see it on Bojidar Dimitrov's site or here either but it looks like the same body/shell as the 300/6.3. I can't believe either warrant such a high $, but I'm quite new to this whole photography game so what do I know.

I believe that lens was for scientific applications, I'd love to try it

Did a quick little Google search and found among other:

The new Ultra-Achromatic-Takumar 300mm f/5.6
uses glass and fluorite elements to achieve high
resolution and extreme chromatic aberration
correction over a wide range wavelength. It is
corrected against chromatic aberration from 400mm
up to 850mm. The visible portion of the spectrum
extends from 400mm up to 700mm. This lens is
excellent for telephotography in the visible and
infrared portion of the spectrum. The use of
fluorite elements allow a design that is very
compact for its focal length and sharp in contrast
and definition.
Basically a lens optimized for UV photography.

These sellers are a laugh. They often don't show the item being sold, but they're certainly in love with themselves including photos... <click here>

This seller is very optimistic!
Well, it sure is a laugh. But by calling him optimistic, I would have to say you are very optimistic. I can think of other adjectives for him which are not complementary. I think calling him an opportunist is the nicest I can do.

It is too bad Ebay harbors such beings. Ebay has the potential to be so much more than it is.

I guess that's why gay men are happy, they take turns at paying.
Good one Gary
