oops, apologies for this 8th thread.

I did go through all those other threads, although, having gone through them, could not have a conclusive Yes or No, on whether those two lenses share the exact same tripod foot.

But yes, could have built on one of the other seven (although the Qn wouldnt really fit with the heading).
No need to apologize. Your thread is perfectly appropriate.

Mine is also the bigger one. I like it since it's easier to hold the lens from the foot when carrying, and it's easier to slip fingers underneath when handling.
I wonder why I'm the only person (so far to comment) who has ended up with the "short" leg on my 60-250mm tripod foot? I'm likely the 3rd or 4th owner (not the second for sure) when I bought it used, so it could have been switched with a 300mm at some time in the past, but it also seems just like the B&H images.

Does anyone know whether Pentax ended making two different tripod feet at some point in time?

Well, if anything, it's been an interesting thread, as I always thought I had the original foot on it. Maybe yes? Maybe no?

Hi Yucatan

In Aus you can't buy the feet let alone different lengths from Ricoh.

Stock pictures from when I bought it and when I wrote the review show the bigger foot. I'm guessing you either got a recent serial number where the company switched the foot, or a swap when owned by someone else. But it's the first time I hear of this.

Another user here who owns both lenses since many years. My 60-250 also has the "longer and taller" foot.

Look at it this way: your 60-250 may be a unique collector's item
