SMC DA 18-55 II (kit) vs Zeiss Flektogon 35mm

I'm thinking of buying the DA-21 limited for my new K20D. But thought I'd check how good the kit lens is before I spend the 300 on a prime.

Here's a quick comparison with my old Carl Zeiss Jena 35mm f/2.4 Flektogon.
Not too bad, apart from some softness at the edges (3), I didn't notice that it had overexposed the 18-55 II a little bit until I got home

Both using raw > gimp with no sharpening..

Would the DA-21 bring even more improvement over the kit lens @21mm? Actually, what matters to me most is to have as little purple fringing and CA as possible.
