It arrived yesterday. Had a quick chance to use it. Last night shot some night shots handheld at ISO 6400 @ 1/60. They are darn impressive. Who says inbody SR isn't useful with long lenses?
Lens is nicely built and finished. It has a 105mm lens cap that is spring loaded. It is threaded for 34mm rear filters that are not included (they are mentioned in IB). Focus action is smooth and nice. T mounts are cool - can use it on the Olympus and Canon too.
Didn't realize that lens has no tripod collar. Doesn't weigh much so no problem hanging it from K10/20D. Was worried about tuning fork vibration. Doesn't seem bad. Should have a lens shade with it or available.
This shot was in 35 F weather with 10-20 mph wind gusts. Shot at ISO 400, 1/200 shutter, and SR. Minimal processing. Forgot the lens shade I made. Amazed I can get decent shots handheld under these conditions! Not a great large lens holder in the past.
Shot on natural color, added 1 notch contrast when converting from raw in camera. Slight "6" saturation boost in Photoshop. My standard sharpening was used
