Converter 1.4XL

Hello,

I'm new here come from the beautiful Westphalia Germany.
Excuse advance my English is not good.

My question is fit to my A * 200/2.8 Pentax Converter 1.4 "XL"?
I had the 1.4"XS" and liked me not. The contrast loss was too high.

Thanks for Information.

Greetings
Holger

Welcome to the forums. I can't answer your question directly as I've never owned these lenses. You might want to send a private message to PentaxForums.com - View Profile: Marc Langille who might have some experience with similar lenses.

Good luck!

Hi Holger,

A warm welcome to you as a newcomer to Pentax Forums!

You came to the right place! Here's the initial part of what you are looking for: https://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/showproduct.php?product=319&cat=50

I own the 1.4X-L TC, so feel free to ask more questions. I requested that the forum admin (Adam) add this information: Front element measures ~ 3.5cm in diameter and protrudes ~ 2 cm

Regards,
Marc

Hello Marc,

If the diameter of 3.5 cm measured the converter, which soars into the lens? And the deep of 2cm? Is that correct?

Greetings Holger

Correct: I am referring to the protruding element that goes into the lens.

You can try searching for the Tamron 1.4x AF TC - no longer in production, and I found it to be a good TC.

Sample image with K20D + FA* 300/2.8 and Tamron TC:

Hello,

I have a Soligor AF Converter 1.7 x CD4 DG found.
Times will test whether he was fit.
Your picture looks good.
