Yes, this is true, but also film SLRs have had a resurgence of interest since around 2010 and all those manual focus FSLRs are also contributing to the shortage of Legacy K-mounts.

Using good quality manual lenses slows me down just enough that I often notice more and adjust my composition accordingly.

This summer I got the Samyang 135mm F2 ED UMC with manual focus and I LOVE it! Now I want the 35mm F1.4 AS UMC... (Lens Buying Addiction never quits)

I figure, why not? Pentax AF may never equal C and I almost always shoot center spot anyway.

Feels like Back to the Future for me...
I like to use MF when using my Samsung Schneider 100mm Macro lens and when using my DA primes

I love manual, hence my box of vintage primes. Peaking and outline peaking (KP) means you can manually get your images super sharp

For what it's worth, I just nominated one of my manual primes in the lens competition thread.

It wasn't an easy choice as my Pentax SMC 645 A 35mm has that wow factor, but I picked the Pentax SMC 645 A 75mm f/2.8. It's the litmus test for myself or any photographer as a simple, clean, affordable, sharp, compact, reliable, and straight forward normal manual focus prime.

I don't think it really has a chance against dozens of newer and more modern Pentax lenses, but after 35 years, it's the lens I return to.
