Can a power zoom lens be manually zoomed?

Just bought a Light blaster with a K to EF mount adapter. I have an old 28-105 power zoom lens. I wanted to use it, however when I turn the power off on my camera it default zooms to around 65mm or so. Is there anyway I can manually zoom this lens?
Thanks,
Jeff

You should be able to pull the power zoom ring towards the camera body. This will turn off the power zoom functions and the lens will only zoom manually. By the way, the behavior you mention when you turn the camera power off is normal. If set to use the power functions, the zoom will automatically move to the focal length at which the lens is the shortest when the camera is turned off.

Pull the zoom ring back towards the camera and it should disengage.
