Lenses you'd love to see refreshed

We all know you have the one old lens you'd love to see remade in the pentax lineup. For me I have two!

1. I'd love to see the M75-150 refreshed. A DFA 75-150/4 HD DC PLM Limited! This lens as is has some amazing rendering already, with some improved coatings and tweaking to the optics it'd be out of this world.

Some sample shots from this wonderful M lens: M75-150 f4 | Flickr

2. The original 8 element 50 1.4 tak. I'd love to see this lens with modern coatings and autofocus. While I know this would never happen I'm pretty sure I'd buy this over the DFA 50 1.4

I would like to see a re-worked FA 100-300mm into a modern day, general purpose D FA 100-300mm on par with the quality of the DA 55-300 plm.

The M 28 f2.0 and M 85 f2.0 both seem worth re-evaluating although I don't know that the 85's issues with coma can be fixed with "just coatings".

The M 20 f4.0 would be a pretty unique lens to see redone in 2021.

also a reworked 200 f/2.8 and 300 f/4 with AF to that matches the K-3 III performance.

I’d love to see a newer focusing motor in the DA* 50-135, 200, and 300.

I just pulled out my old DAL 55-300 with Mack Truck screw drive AF and was immediately thankful for the silence and speed of my PLM ... so already got my wish!

The 20-35 would be interesting. It's an old design I think, dating back to the M series. Seems like a useful range for a tiny zoom.

As long as they are faster!
Yes, and a program to send your old ones in for conversion.

I’d say that last bit seems unlikely. Even if they used the same exact optics chances are high they would have new mechanical parts and the labor to disassemble and reassemble and realign etc would cost more than a new lens.

Yea I know, but as long as we are wishing for things that won't happen... I figure if they re-do any of those they will be D-FA models.
