Although one of the assets of Pentax DSLRs is backward compatibility with older lenses, one must realize that lenses designed for 35mm film are not optimized for APS-C CMOS sensors. I think it's fun and satisfying to use and see the character of using non-DA or non-DFA lenses, but there is a lot of potential that I believe many Pentaxians are missing without exploring the limiteds and stars. After all, it's just money!

For me it is. But prerequisites are decent lighting conditions on your screen and decent close up eyesight.
I use a LCD viewfinder to aid in these two and I believe that is the most precise way to focus especially with LV magnification. But you need time.

I've just about given up on manual focus lenses unless I can change to a split image focus screen.
