Tamron SP 15-30mm f/2.8 Di in K-Mount - Strange Ebay find

The HD Pentax-D FA 15-30MM F/2.8 ED SDM WR is commonly known as rebadged or co-developed sibling of the Tamron SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD. Therefore the Tamron variant is not available in K-Mount.

Today something that looks like a Pentax 15-30 but has a Tamron inscription on it appeared on Ebay: Objetivo Pentax Tamron 15-30mm f2.8 FA ED HD SDM WR | eBay

I think that this is just a Pentax which had been tinkered / tampered. Does anybody have a better explanation?

Maybe it's a Pentax 15-30 that has been damaged, then repaired (refurbished) with the front section of the lens replaced by a spare part of Tamron 15-30.

Yep, that's exactly what it looks like. It's definitely mostly the Pentax version, seemingly with the hood replaced. The original Pentax hood has a prominent "PENTAX" label that would be visible in the second image.

The explanation sounds logic. It is a bit weird that the seller doesn't mention a word about a previous repair or any abnormality. On the contrary, he mentions the Pentax specific SP Coating of the front lens...
