Teleconverter quesions...

Do we know when the recently announced Pentax 1.4X teleconverter will be available?
Also would there be significant advantages to having the new Pentax teleconverter vs the currently available 2.0X Sigma teleconverter? (ie autofocus, or exposure advantages...?)
thx

1.4 x only cuts down half the amount of light entering the camera as a 2x, so faster shutter speeds can be used.

If you're talking about the Sigma 2x EX DG, it can only fit certain lenses, not all.

Will the DA converter be backwards compatible? Can I use my K135 on it?

First rear converter equipped for autofocus operation of PENTAX digital SLR cameras. SDM mechanism for extra-smooth, super-quiet autofocus operation. Compatible with conventional (mechanical) autofocus system..."
