What were the last 2 lens you purchased and why?

What were the last 2 lens you purchased and why?

Mine are the Asahi Pentax m-100mm 1:4 macro - to take macro photos with some distance between me and the subject (sometimes using Asahi Pentax extension tubes though).
& recently I purchased its little brother, the Asahi Pentax m-50mm 1:4 macro - to still take macros but be able to take non macros at 50mm.
I like the fact that both lens are almost as sharp as they come, in others opinions here.

SMC Pentax-A 28/2.0 - because I was keen to see how it compares to my beloved "Hollywood" SMC Pentax 28/2.0

SMC Pentax-A* 135/1.8 - because........actually, do you really need to ask?

  1. HD Pentax-D FA 70-210mm F4 ED SDM WR, because it’s half the weight and cost of the HD pentax-D FA* 70-200mm F2.8 ED DC AW, and in spite of already having the lovely but still too-heavy-for-walking-with SMC Pentax-FA* 80-200mm F2.8 ED [IF].
  2. HD Pentax-D FA* 50mm F1.4 SDM AW, because I’d sold my Voigtlander Nokton 58mm F1.4, and in spite of having the SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.2 and various other Pentax Takumar and other 50mm lenses, but mostly because I could.

Tamron SP AF 90mm F2.8 Di Macro - I enjoy macro and even though I was fairly content with what I had at the time, I saw this lens in the Marketplace for a phenomenal price and couldn't resist.

Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 80-200mm f2.8 LD BBAR MC (30A) - Not a range I've ever felt an affinity for, but I'm a fan of the top-end Adaptall-2 glass and the price was right.

Pentax FA 400mm 5.6 for a bit of autofocus in my life.
And in stark contrast a magic lantern lens for $15 to add a bit of eccentricity to my portraiture

The last one was a DA 16 - 85 because I dropped the second last lens I bought and broke beyond economical repair..........the DA 20 - 40 Limited

DA 16-85 WR to replace the Tamron 17-50 f2.8, because the Tamron lens isn't weather sealed and had a fault from new.
DA 55-300 PLM to replace the DA 55-300 because the PLM is more compact and actually sharper than the older lens (although it gets a bit of vignetting at the long end).

Irix 11mm and Irix 15mm. Couldn't decide which one, so I bought both. "Fun-to-use" lenses.

Pentax 50mm f1.8 because there was a small gap in my limited primes and it was insanely cheap

Pentax 15mm limited. The deal was way too good to refuse and boy has it delivered!

Next, DFA 100mm macro, DA* 55mm, DFA 35mm F2, .....

well ...

DA* 11-18/2,8 - because I like wide angle lenses - the wider, the better. DA 15 ltd is not wide enough, Pentax 12-24 is not fast enough for night reports and also flare resistance is much worse. I took it as a long term solution.

DA 55-300 PLM - because I wanted a compact long zoom lens for my trips - especially with children (becoming faster than me ).

My last purchased lenses were part of a well-stocked photo case. There were more than 2 lenses in it, namely:
- SMC Pentax 28mm F3.5
- SMC Pentax 50mm F1.4
- SMC Pentax 135mm F3.5

I bought them because, among other things, there was a Pentax helicoid extension tube K in the case, plus the fact that they are all lenses from the K series that I did not have yet. I am a big fan of that series.
