Currently only 2 :
DA* 16-50
DA* 50-135

had unfortunately to sell my FA 50 some weeks ago, but it will be replaced next year with the DA* 55.....
since DA* 50-135 is sometimes just a little short, DA* 200 will probably follow.

Pentax DA* 50-135mm f2.8 (otw)
Tamron 28-75 f2.8
Pentax FA 35mm f2.0
Pentax FA 50mm F1.4
Pentax DA 70mm f2.4 Ltd.
Pentax 18-55mm kit lens
Pentax DA 50-200mm

I have 7 lenses. The two kit lenses (18-55 and 50-200) are from my original DL from a few years back. I don't use either of them all that much, but they each still serve a small purpose in my collection. My next two lenses were the 50mm 1.4 and 35mm 2.0. Out of those two, my FA 35mm gets more use, but hey, I love them both. My next purchase was the Tammy 28-75, which has spent the most time on my camera since I bought it. I love its performance. Then, thanks to cashback on ebay, I recently purchased the DA 70mm and DA* 50-135mm for simply incredible prices.

I took the DA70mm out to the playground with my family the other day, and what a beautiful job it did. It was so light and usable on my K200D, and took some amazing photos. My 50-135mm is on the way now, and I can't wait to use it. I think (hope) I'm done with LBA for awhile.

I think I'm the worst case of LBA and LSA. Have had a lot lenses, but I seldome keep more than 12 at one time.

Just sold two stars, now down to 8:

- SMC Pentax FA 31/1.8 LE
- SMC Pentax FA 43/1.9 LE
- SMC Pentax FA 77/1.8 LE

- SMC Pentax A 50/2.8 macro
- SMC Pentax A 100/2.8 macro

That's all I'm gonna keep, for now, and the near future, hopefully

"Just" five/six:
DA18-55
Tamron 70-300
M50 f/2
M28 f/2.8
DA40
Tamron 90 Macro

(My girlfriend gets my old K100D for christmas, and I gave her the 18-55 with it, probably buying a SK 18-55 instead, essentially the same, just need it for the rare wide-angle shot, I really prefer using my 28, just for the feel.

But I am looking for another baby. FA28, perhaps, or another M (probably A, though, as I don't trust the K20D metering too much, even though it has shown to be very good with the M28).

you're too late, there was a post a while back about what pentax lenses you would really love to own.

I answered quite simply, one of each ever made

If I have 5 lenses, and 3 TCs, does that mean I have 15 lenses?

If the TCs are all different, you'd have 40 lenses!

Oh boy, gear thread.. I love these.

DA 21mm Limited
Can't say much about this since it won't get here until tomorrow.

Super Takumar 28/3.5
Good, though I find it hard to focus well for some reason. Lots of depth of field when focusing but the shots seem to have less and I often misjudge things. Great performer optically though.

Sigma 30mm f/1.4
It is what it is. Damned good, if not absolutely superb, center performance. Edges are fine when stopped down. Big and heavy, but man, what a lovely lens to work with. Nice budget alternative to the 31/1.8.

DA 40mm Limited
Slightly funky focal length, but I really like it. Superb edge-to-edge performance, lovely color and contrast. Small and light and fast (focusing). The only regret I have when using it is that sometimes it isn't wide enough for what I want; went to the aquarium here with my little girl and I had to back up way too far to get some good shots of her with the surroundings.

SMC Takumar 50/1.4
8-bladed bokeh monster. I love this thing and have some really great shots from it. Prefer it wide open or near wide open; to me this is the purpose of this lens. Fast, painterly out-of-focus areas. Don't use it often but when it's wanted nothing else will do. Performs beyond expectations on extension tube.

Super Takumar 55/1.8
Really good lens, but I don't need this and the SMC 50/1.4. The SMC wins, and this one's for sale.

Industar 50/3.5
Not really sharp wide open (and not very fast either), but has sort of muted colors and soft contrast that really works well for environmental portraits, flowers and such. Very very small and wobbles a bit on the M42 adapter, but cheap and useful.

Sears 135/2.8
Not sure who made this (any ideas? not the macro version), but it surprised the heck out of me. Nice and sharp wide open and performs great. Don't use it a lot but it was free with a camera body I bought a while back, and it's a pretty decent little 135.

Vivitar 135/3.5
HEAVY. Good god, I don't know if they made this thing out of lead or what. It is nice and sharp, compact (but DENSE), and has the preset aperture thing which I really dig. M42 mount/

Tele-Lantar 135/2.8
"Tele-Lantar" sounds pretty promising right? Good name and all. Well, it's crap. Still trying to figure out what to do with it.

SMC-M 200/4
It's a really nice lens with great optics, but I think it's just not a good focal length for me. I find myself either shooting at wide-normal or 300-400mm. Not sure if I'll keep this one, though it's a really nice piece of glass.

Tele-Astranar 400/6.3
Paid $1 (ONE DOLLAR) for it in mint condition at the KEH yard sale. And it's REALLY GOOD! Go figure. At f/8 it's very sharp, and wide open it isn't bad either. I've used it for maybe a dozen shots, but very happy with the results. Not sure if I'll sell it or just keep it around for those rare occasions when I want to use it.

DA 16-45/4
When I go out shooting and don't know what I want to do, this one is glued to the K20D. Performs great throughout the focal range, and while sometimes I'd want a little more tele I really can't complain. Everyone should have one of these (unless they have a good 16-50). Pentax doesn't get enough love for producing something so nice for so cheap.

Sigma 70-300/4-5.6
Bought this as an "emergency tele" lens for vacation. Turns out it's actually pretty good, and I am keeping it until something better comes along. The macro functionality is really nice to have and I've gotten some surprisingly good shots out of such an inexpensive lens.

Lensbaby 2.0
Fun and I will be keeping it for when I want to play with it.

OK, I think that covers the Pentax glass... don't even get me going on all the other stuff I have.

Wouldn't 5 lenses and 3 teleconverters give you 40 combinations?

5 with no teleconverter
15 using 1 teleconverter on a lens (call it converter a, b or c)
15 using 2 teleconverters stacked (combinations ab, ac or bc)
5 using 3 teleconverters stacked (abc)

Edit: whoops, posted at the same time as pingflood
