where does that put me with 17 lenses and 6 TCs

You started the math quiz, I think I'll just torture you a little
6 TCs (assuming all different) == 2^6 potential combinations. 64 times 17 lenses = 1088.

The collection keeps changing but currently:

DA 21mm Ltd
FA 28mm
FA 50mm
FA 50mm Macro
FA 77mm Ltd
FA 100mm Macro
FA 135mm
DA 18-55mm II
FA 28-200mm
Sigma 17-70
Sigma 16mm fisheye
Sigma 90mm Macro
Tokina 28-85mm
Tokina 28-200mm
Tokina 60-300mm
Tamron 70-300mm
Lensbaby II

Got rid of the DA*50-135mm but possibly looking for the DA 14mm, DA 35mm macro and maybe the DA*200mm next year. Trying to ditch all my manual focus lenses.

I have more than 100 lenses left.
I feel SO much better to see your signature. You have perhaps cured my LBA for this week and all in a sudden, I am about to check out each lens in your signature and probably send you a PM

update: I did check up your signature. I have a headache trying to figure out if I can solicit you to selling any. You have every vivitar series 1 and you have all the macro that it will take me years to finish testing. I will suggest you to open up a club where you can rent out lens for a small fee so that you can cut down your lens to a smaller list, no punt intended, very impressive to say the least. The other guy who also impresses me is Jim King with a superb collection of new and old glasses.

Thanks,
Hin

I probably have a lots macros under 180mm. I have not list k100/4, A50/2.8, Tamron 90, Vivitar 90, Vivitar 100 2.8, 105/2.5, Vivitar Macro Adapter in PKA,. I sold a PKA KIRON 105/2.8. Very regret of the sale as I can not find one in Kiron (not vivitar or DINE Lxxxx) any more. I really like to have A100/2.8 macro. It's just too rare to put my hands on. You know whick one I use most for Macro.........Tamron SP 35-80mm..

I went to Calgary a few weeks ago. Guess what I found: Olympus F.Zuiko Auto-S 50mm F1.8 IN M42 mounts

The original one had a single element plastic lens, so even the 'sharp' spot was not very sharp. Think Holga.

The 2.0 had a double element glass lens so it's actually quite sharp where you want/need it to be. It also has a better aperture disc mechanism; you drop them in and magnets hold them in place rather than the rubber stopper of the original one...

5 lenses here:
FA35 2.0
FA50 1.4
FA77
Tamron 28-75
Sigma 70

FA50 and FA77 will be replaced by the DA*55 if it turns out to be as good as it's touted to be.

Then it will be 4. I don't need any more than this.

Like many of you I have more than I really need with 15 on hand at the time of writing. (see signature).

I find I have 5 which get the bulk of use in the collection. The K 24 2.8, K 200 2.5, K 300 4, A 100 2.8 macro and the DA 70 2.4 my only "modern lens."

I have a number of M series lenses with the M 400/5.6 getting a lot of use of late. Sad to say I don't seem to use the other Ms as much for some rerason. I'll have to trot them out for some use this week.

Cheers,

Tom G

Too Many!

Not to brag, but I've collected a *LOT* of lenses over the past 4 years. My DPR profile has a more complete list but I haven't been able to edit it recently to bring it completely up to date.

Here's a summary list of my lenses which will fit Pentax (including duplicates) by category:

137 K-mount primes (I have all of them except for a very few of the super-teles)
45 K-mount zooms
41 M42 Primes
3 M42 zooms
19 Tamron Adaptall-2
----
245 Total

Don't ask why...

What? and deprive you of the pleasure of the hunt???

Seriously, I do have a few duplicates but that is not one of them, so it's not for sale. As I remember I had a difficult time finding it...

2 Pentax, DA16-45 & DA50-200

but... since my list is looking rather sad,

recently bought a Nikon F mount adaptor (not yet used/tested so maybe useless), which will let me mount:

(Nikkors unless otherwise stated) 24/2.8, 28/2.8E, 50/1.8E, 85/2, 105/2.5, 135/3.5, 35-105/3.5-5.6, 80-200/2.8 Tokina and a less than stellar 300/5.6 Vivitar.

Also have 6 Mamiya 645 lenses and a teleconvertor, 3 Large Format lenses, 4 good enlarger lenses (+ some junk ones) and a pair of spectacles

Super Takumar 28/3.5
Good, though I find it hard to focus well for some reason. Lots of depth of field when focusing but the shots seem to have less and I often misjudge things. Great performer optically though.
That's exactly how I feel about this lens... It's only f/3.5, so why can't I focus it? I tried to sell it, but the market wouldn't seem to bear what I thought it was worth (and I came down a lot when I put it on ebay). So it seems I'm destined to keep it. Color rendering is terrific.

As for my current lens list...
DA 10-17mm Fisheye
Sigma Super-Wide II 24mm f/2.8
Sigma 24-60mm f/2.8 EX DG
Super-Multi-Coated Tak. 28mm f/3.5
Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8-4 Aspherical IF
Pentax-A 50mm f/1.7
Tamron AF 70-200 f/2.8 Di LD (IF) Macro

Tamron SP AF90mm F/2.8 Di 1:1 Macro
Pentax-M 135mm f/3.5
Pentax-M 150mm f/3.5
Sigma 50-500mm EX DG "Bigma"

Bold lenses live in my bag, ready to go (now I just need to GO).

A Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 should arrive next week to potentially replace the 24-60mm Sigma, as I'm missing having a rectilinear which goes below 24mm, and I can't seem to spring for the desired *16-50.
