I'm assuming the original hood is plastic. If it's metal it may not be possible to make a functional 3D printed one.
It’s plastic, with a rubber end, but the lugs have some sort of clips that keep them in place against the body attachments. Hard to print that.

Can you post a close-up picture of the lugs?

Resurrecting this thread, as a new owner of one of these without a hood - 3007172, three lug mounting.

I perked up on the mention of 3D printing, but the complexities of replicating the factory attachment seem to condemn that option.

My thinking first went to a replacement front ring on the lens itself, but this would require some detailed CAD work and precision CNC milling. Possible, but difficult/expensive.

Third time lucky? I am thinking about how the screw-on filters could be employed, perhaps as sacrificial elements - ie lose the glass filter and use the filter mount as the attachment point for a hood. Unless a specific quick-release system could be devised, the hood would be attached (glued? clamped? other?) to the outside of the filter ring and removed like a filter by unscrewing the assembly. More cumbersome that what we are used to, but when all else fails ...

A variant could be simply a slotted end on a custom or modified lens hood, secured by a clamp of some sort. It could be reversible to store on the lens barrel perhaps. Not pretty, but practical, and cheap.

Thoughts?
